Florida Impact Fee Review Task Force
In 2005, the Florida Legislature passed CS/CS/CS SB 360, referred to as the “pay-as-you-grow” growth management law, to ensure that roads, schools and water are available to meet the needs of Florida’s many rapidly growing communities. Among its numerous provisions, the legislation (codified as Chapter 2005-290, Laws of Florida) created a 15-member advisory body, the Florida Impact Fee Review Task Force, to survey the current use of impact fees as a method of financing local infrastructure and publish a report and recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature by February 1, 2006. The Florida Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations (LCIR) was directed to serve as staff to the Task Force. Persons having additional questions regarding these files should contact LCIR Staff.
